Message from Saso Stavrev
Welcome to my World of Photography.
There's been three periods in my professional life.
At the age of 14 I started working as a DJ in a local discotheque,
playing Heavy Metal music for the rockers.
I had been a DJ for a long period.
Then, my interest changed;
I worked as a journalist/photographer, freelancing in the most popular Film Festivals
around Europe, where I have made several interviews
with some of the best recognized movie stars, from the both side of the camera.
Nowadays I have come back to photography as a passionate hobby
and the source of living.
I was lucky to have wonderful teacher,
who is still considered a leading photographer in my hometown, my father.
Taking photographs every day is a great pleasure for me.
I live in a very small country, still floating around in transition.
I would rather say, in a very conservative country,
speaking about freedom of journalism, braveness in the sphere of photography,
so young in a part of fashion, style and beauty.
I am happy to be born and to live in one of the most beautiful cities of the Balkans,
my hometown Bitola,
which is known by many features, I would rather mention in other occasion.
Bitola, the town of consuls, the town of culture and tradition, the town of the most beautiful girls.
I never ment to hurt or to offend anybody as a person or any religion or anybody at any age.
To accept the love and challenge of being a photographer is the most prestigious feeling
and the power to create the world the way I see it.
